This software is freeware. If you use it and like it, at least drop me a note, though.
The purpose of this software is to non-interactively concatenate text files together into a single output text file. Each line in the text files must not exceed 255 characters. You must create a file called "JoinFiles.dat" in the same location as JoinFiles™. The format of the JoinFiles.dat file is as follows:
Volume:Folder:OutputFileName - the name of the desired output file.
Volume:Folder1:Folder2:Inputfile1 - a list of the files to be combined
Volume:Folder1:Folder3:Inputfile2 - in the order you want them
Volume:Folder1:Folder4:Inputfile3
Pretty simple, eh?
It is a simple program, with little error checking. I wrote it as a quick and dirty way to combine several files into a SYSTEM#.MSG file for the AppleSeeds BBS. I figured it might come in handy for other people.
JoinFiles™ was written using Prototyper™ and MPW Object Pascal. I will give you the source code if you send me an 800K disk and $1 return postage.
